Location: Romeoville, USA

  • 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Pay: $16.50/hr 

  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | Pay: $17.50/hr 

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join our Production team. This role is critical in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility in compliance with company policies and USDA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure production, mixing, and packaging rooms remain clean and free of debris during operations.
  • Clean areas where condensation accumulates and maintain restrooms and cafeteria.
  • Refill paper towel and soap dispensers as needed.
  • Distribute clean frocks, hairnets, and gloves to employees; manage used frocks properly.
  • Vacuum office areas and empty trash in offices and hallways.
  • Remove garbage and maintain cleanliness in dry storage, freezers, shipping/receiving dock, and outside grounds.
  • Remove snow and clear emergency exits when necessary.
  • Collect and bale plastic and recyclable materials.
  • Wash and sanitize equipment during changeovers.
  • Follow all company, USDA, and SQF Food Safety Code requirements.
  • Properly handle sanitation chemicals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, push/pull heavy loads, and stand/walk for long periods
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, damp, and wet environments
  • Ability to work with chemicals and water
  • Experience with USDA/FDA and OSHA standards
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • 1–2 years of experience in the food industry
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and stooping
  • Repetitive tasks for extended periods
