Plastics Finisher Needed!
A well-established manufacturing company with over 50 years of experience in the East Syracuse, NY area is seeking a Plastics Finisher to join its team on first shift. Specializing in prototyped and low-volume production machined castings, this company offers a stable and rewarding work environment.
Salary Range: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Shift: First Shift, 7-3:30 M-F Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for finishing molded plastic parts according to customer specifications, using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure quality standards are met. Job Responsibilities
- Mix filler and hardener according to instructions.
- Inspect molded parts and fill voids as necessary.
- Use sandpaper, straight drills, and sanders to finish parts per job requirements.
- Verify counts, scan job travelers, and route parts to the next production stage.
- Meet established quality and quantity benchmarks.
- Support quality management through adherence to ISO processes and the Syteline MIS system.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and seek opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE and maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain reliable attendance and comply with all company policies and conduct standards.
- Apply training consistently in daily tasks.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 6 months of experience in a surface finishing role is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow job travelers and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate parts and hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
