Plant Controller
Franklin, MA
Direct Hire
$110-130k

*Position can be hybrid (2 remote days per week) or fully onsite based on preference

Kelly is seeking a Plant Controller to work with our client, an industry-leading global manufacturer, on a direct hire basis at their plant in Franklin, MA. The Plant Controller will:

  • Prepare budget and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reports, and schedules  
  • Manage all accounting operations and supervise the accurate processing of payroll
  • Facilitate, complete, and coordinate monthly closing procedures (monthly account reconciliations and analysis, accrual calculations, CAPEX analysis, intercompany reconciliation)
  • Analyze revenues and direct/indirect costs and SGA expenses and report on variances
  • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely year-end financial audit and assist with tax audits
  • Work with the company's tax advisor to manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Monitor, develop, and implement conformity with and abide by all regulatory guidance and group internal policies & procedures
  • Coordinate, resolve, and improve various issues with banks
  • Monitor the credit control process
  • Provide a critical view on the level of expenses incurred by the company and give advice on expense captions that are outliers and require attention
  • Work with operations and continuous improvement team to assess financial impact of operational improvements
  • Monitor actuals versus budgeted results and addresses concerns with area responsible
  • Maintain, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and group and local policies in order to secure control procedures
  • Supervise a team of 2 employees and ensure that work is properly completed in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (including cost accounting)
  • MBA or CPA certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles
  • Hyperion and AX experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adherence to policies & procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an internal customer service focus
  • Ability to act and work independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated, optimistic, and driven by improvements
  • Structured, autonomous, and self-starter
  • Act as the leading expert for the site on all accounting and payroll matters
  • Acts as a member of site and global leadership
