Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (Drug Weigher I) Location: Barceloneta, PR Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician (Drug Weigher I) to support our client's production team in Barceloneta, PR. The successful candidate will weigh, pack, and distribute raw materials, active ingredients, and controlled substances to production areas in accordance with production orders. This role is vital for ensuring compliance with GMP regulations and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Responsibilities

  • Weigh, pack, and distribute materials (including regular and controlled drugs) to production areas based on planning department orders.
  • Clean utensils, equipment, and weighing rooms following established procedures.
  • Decontaminate and clean potent drug rooms (Dispensing area), managing equipment assembly/disassembly, and maintaining records.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and order in the working area.
  • Ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency of designated manufacturing processes.
  • Complete documentation related to material weighing and room cleaning per GMP regulations.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and proper material handling instructions.
  • Identify and locate all materials to be weighed.
  • Assist in physical inventories of raw materials.
  • Operate storage equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, etc.).
Qualifications Required:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Understanding of English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on any shift (training on 1st shift; regular schedule may include 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends, and holidays).
  • Knowledge of GMP.
Preferred:
  • Prior pharmaceutical experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Forklift handling experience.
  • Familiarity with computerized equipment.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience weighing pharmaceuticals.
  • General manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift certification a Plus.
Work Environment
  • Team-based, production area setting.
  • Daily collaboration with manufacturing, planning, supply chain, warehouse, and quality departments.
Schedule & Expectations
  • Must be available for any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Initial training scheduled on 1st shift.
