Senior Paralegal/Legal Assistant Pay rate: $45 - $60/HR

Priority 1 – The Legal Department
Overview:

Our department regularly partners with managers across the organization to support business goals and deliver impactful results for our company and patients. As a Legal Coordinator/Paralegal, you will primarily support US legal and contracting teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision. Essential Functions

  • Contract Support:
  • Review and assist US Legal Counsel in negotiations of CDAs (Confidential Disclosure Agreements), MSAs (Master Services Agreements), and SOWs (Statements of Work).
  • Establish contract and legal workflow priorities based on departmental needs.
  • Workflow Management:
  • Manage the contracting process and provide contract lifecycle support to internal stakeholders.
  • Educate and guide internal teams on the contracting process.
  • Database & Documentation:
  • Maintain executed agreements within the company's contract database for US Legal Counsel.
  • Ensure proper filing and submission of approval forms.
  • Stakeholder Support:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for contracting-related inquiries.
  • Assist the US Legal Counsel with vendor contract management and PO (Purchase Order) submission.
  • Communication & Coordination:
  • Interact with all levels of management, both domestic and international, requiring tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports as requested.
  • Handle confidential information professionally at all organizational levels.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Assist with special projects as required. Qualifications Required:
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word; contract lifecycle management systems.
    • Experience supporting a Legal or Compliance Department.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Previous experience as a Legal Coordinator or Paralegal.
    • Previous experience in contract processing.
    • Experience in the biotech industry is a plus.
    Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred, not required).
    • Paralegal Certification.
    • Experience supporting Legal Departments in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical companies.
