Pay Rate: $27.00–$31.00/hour

A growing pharmaceutical manufacturer in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Packaging & Logistics Engineer to oversee the shipment, handling, and cold chain management of drug product materials — including APIs, excipients, bulk substances, and finished goods. This is an onsite role requiring strong coordination with cross-functional teams, external partners, and strict adherence to GMP compliance standards.
What You'll Do:-
Manage shipment and receipt of APIs, components, test samples, and finished products

Coordinate with internal teams and external carriers for timely, compliant deliveries

Handle cold chain logistics using tools like TempTales and Active Shippers

Maintain detailed shipment records and temperature tracking

Draft SOPs and logistics documentation aligned with FDA/cGMP requirements

Support logistics-related projects and tasks as assigned by the manager

3+ years of logistics or packaging experience in pharma, biotech, or regulated industries

Experience with cold chain and international shipping

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and shipping/tracking software

Strong attention to documentation, SOPs, and cGMP practices

Proven ability to manage shipments independently in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field

Familiarity with shipping validation studies

Experience working with APIs, bulk drug materials, or finished drug products
