Job Title: Outside Sales – Flood Barriers
Location: Grand Forks, ND
Salary: $50,000 base + substantial commission (top performers earn $120k+) Overview Join a fast-growing company as an Outside Sales Representative for Flood Barriers in Grand Forks, ND! This high-impact role focuses on developing client relationships, driving revenue, and providing outstanding customer service to end users, contractors, as well as architectural and engineering firms. If you're a self-starter with a knack for sales and a passion for the construction industry, this opportunity is for you. Core Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and nurture relationships through personal visits, calls, and strategic networking.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and sales goals by matching customer needs with appropriate product solutions.
  • Generate leads through industry relationships and events.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and ensure proper follow-up for all opportunities.
  • Deliver consistent, positive customer experiences and support.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows and other industry events.
Essential Duties
  • Review and interpret customer specifications to determine appropriate Flood Barrier solutions.
  • Gather information for quotes, drawings, installations, and invoicing.
  • Respond swiftly to customer inquiries and troubleshoot credit, delivery, or installation issues.
  • Maintain excellent post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate customer terms while prioritizing company interests.
  • Schedule and conduct onsite customer visits as required.
  • Travel regularly (some weekends included); flexible hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous sales experience, ideally with general contractors or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, management, or related area.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with architects and engineers.
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, including blueprint reading and specification interpretation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct sales experience in flood-protection products.
  • Engineering degree.
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation.
