 Order Delivery Planner

Job Summary:
As an Order Delivery Planner at our company, you will be responsible for creating efficient truck delivery routes for customer and interplant orders. You will utilize JDA software to group individual sales and transfer orders into optimal truck delivery routes, ensuring customer service requirements are met. Join our logistics department and contribute to our commitment to exceptional service and efficiency.

Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Contract (6 months) with possible extension
  • Location: Austin, MN 
  • Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (with 1-hour lunch break)

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Create efficient truck delivery routes for customer and interplant orders using JDA software.
  • Group individual sales and transfer orders from the mainframe-based Order Processing (OP) System into optimal truck delivery routes.
  • Ensure all routing is completed daily, regardless of volume fluctuations.
  • Handle daily and weekly volume peaks based on sales levels.
  • Work between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm during peak activity levels.
  • Adjust lunch break timing as necessary during peak activity levels.
  • Be flexible to work past normal business hours as work volume dictates.
  • Demonstrate exemplary attendance due to the transactional nature of the position.
  • Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges.
  • Take initiative and independently initiate appropriate action.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of teamwork and its importance within the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and mainframe systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take appropriate action independently.
  • Exemplary attendance record due to the transactional nature of the position.
  • Understanding of teamwork and its significance within the organization.

Preferred:
  • Experience within a TMS (Transportation Management System).
  • Previous Logistics or Supply Chain experience.
