At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we're seeking an Optical Test Technician to work for a premier optics manufacturer in West Henrietta, NY. With us, it's all about finding the right opportunity for you!

Pay: $24-28/hr. (Depending on experience). Temp to Hire.

Available Shifts:

  • A Shift: 5am to 1:30pm or 9am to 5:30pm, Mon-Fri.
  • B Shift: 1pm to 9:30pm, Mon-Fri.

Summary: As a Test Technician, you'll perform final optical assembly tests and optimizations to ensure high-precision products meet strict quality and performance standards. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in optics, quality control, or mechanical assembly who have a passion for accuracy and process improvement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and consistent optical testing and evaluations
  • Operate test equipment and optical analytical software
  • Read and interpret technical specifications and diagrams
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly or testing issues
  • Provide feedback to the assembly team on product quality and build issues
  • Maintain detailed inspection and test records
  • Follow clean room protocol and safety guidelines
  • Support development of improved testing processes and documentation

This job might be an outstanding fit if you…
  • Have an Associate Degree in Optics or 3+ years of related experience (Bachelor's in Optics a plus)
  • Understand optical theories, terminology, and testing practices
  • Are comfortable using test equipment, software, and basic hand tools
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Are comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and following safety protocols
  • Are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance required)
