Job Posting: Mill Machinist
Location: Longwood, FL 32750
Position: Mill Machinist
Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 6:00AM – 6:00PM ( will be paid for 40)
Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hour (based on experience)
  About the Role Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated Mill Machinist to join a reputable company located in Longwood, FL. If you have 1-2 years of mill experience and are looking for a weekend opportunity, we encourage you to apply! Programming experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload raw materials.
  • Use gauges, measuring instruments, and hand/cutting tools to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Reduce set-up and machining time through process improvements.
  • Inspect completed work to specifications using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers, etc.
  • Perform geometry and tool wear offsets.
  • Conduct daily and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the Machine Shop's work environment.
  • Follow AS9100 requirements and safety procedures.
  • Train new employees/co-workers as needed.
  • Provide feedback for process improvements.
  • Comply with all quality policies and instructions.
  • Track and record job progress and deficiencies daily (written/electronic).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3-5 years of CNC Mill experience.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments accurately.
  • Ability to set up and operate lathes and/or mills with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of various CNC controls as well as M and G code.
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs.
