Pay Range:  $20 - $24 per hour, depending upon experience

What's a typical day as a Medical Billing Specialist? You'll be:
Summary/Overview:
  • Medical Billing & Coding
  • Appeals Writing
  • Medical Records Management
  • Insurance Verification
  • Claim Submission and Follow-up
  • Liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
  • HIPPAA Compliance
  • Requesting and uploading medical records from ordering providers and supporting appeals
  • Reviewing and analyzing denied claims for potential successful appeals
  • Preparing and submitting written appeals and monitoring their status
  • Processing patient financial assistance applications and handling billing inquiries
  • Managing error work queues and posting payments to patient accounts
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • Proven experience in medical billing, with focus on appeals and records management
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and billing software; TELCOR experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies and denial management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Certification in Medical Billing & Coding or related field preferred.
