Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Remote Opportunity – quarterly travel to Wisconsin required
Industry: Power Generation / Renewable Energy / Engineering
Contract: 6-12 months
Competitive Pay and Full Benefits Package Join a dynamic engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll lead mechanical design from concept to installation for cutting-edge power and renewable energy projects. Ideal for engineers with a strong background in mechanical systems and a desire to work across the full project lifecycle—from sales support through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver mechanical design packages that meet project and contract specifications.
  • Support early project stages, including conceptual design and tender documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers and CAD Designers to coordinate detailed designs.
  • Conduct pressure, temperature, flow, and heat transfer calculations.
  • Create and interpret P&IDs and size absorption chillers.
  • Participate in HAZOP and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with experience in power generation (1–25 MW) or renewable natural gas sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and adaptability under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional engineering registration (PE or equivalent)
  • Experience in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems
