Kelly Services is seeking a Materials Planner for a major energy company in Amarillo, TX.
This is a 6 month contract that could be extended and eventually hired on and this role does come with benefits that include PTO, paid holidays, health and life insurance options, 401k option. Pay is firm at $26.50/hr.
This role blends material planning with customer fulfillment, ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality service delivery.
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Material Planner & Customer Fulfillment Specialist will oversee production scheduling, manage material availability, and handle order processing. Reporting to the Plant Materials Team Leader, this role ensures efficient production, resolves material issues, and serves as the key contact for order fulfillment and customer interactions.
Essential Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling & Execution:
- Schedule and manage production lines using Master Schedule and Oracle ERP System.
- Ensure materials are available per work orders and gearbox configurations.
- Address production issues and monitor status to meet schedules.
Material Management & Issue Resolution:
- Resolve material receipt issues with the Warehouse.
- Update production control data and manage labor, material, and OSP charges.
- Align supply and demand, and participate in resolving bottlenecks and shortages.
Order Fulfillment & Customer Interaction:
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external customers regarding order processing and fulfillment.
- Communicate customer requirements to the R&R Team and provide status updates.
- Manage warranty administration and handle claims.
Documentation & Accuracy:
- Ensure accuracy in documentation and transactions in Oracle and SAP.
- Maintain traceability for Repair Orders and Shipments.
Inventory & Data Analysis:
- Support inventory management to optimize stock levels and improve delivery performance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years in Production and Material Planning or Order Fulfillment.
- Experience with ERP Systems (Oracle, SAP) and advanced planning tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
