Description

Logistics Specialist / Material Coordinator
Location: Concord, CA
Schedule: Full-Time - 6AM - 2:30PM- M-F
Pay rate: $23/HR



Summary:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing materials within the plant and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory records in the ERP system. This role also includes tactical purchasing support for KANBAN and provides backup to production planning and administrative support as needed. The position has a dotted-line report to the Purchasing Supervisor.
Responsibilities:

  • Control inventories of raw materials and finished goods to meet production schedules, customer demand, and product development needs.
  • Coordinate the receipt, picking, and shipping of materials.
  • Confer with user departments to track progress of work and projected completion dates.
  • Report on progress of work, inventory levels, and any problems or issues encountered.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through robust process controls and cycle counting.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, reporting findings as necessary.
  • Liquidate outdated stock and resolve out-of-stock issues.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are followed, including checking orders for quantity accuracy, lot numbers, and necessary verifications.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing material inspections as required.
  • Execute purchase requisitions for assigned production materials according to ERP/MRP processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to support smooth operations.
  • Serve as backup for production planning and provide administrative support to the office as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory controls is a plus.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
