Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is currently seeking a Material Technician II for a long-term engagement in Rahway, PA with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients. This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc. Material Technician II
General Requirements

  • Adhere to local procedures regarding dress code and area access requirements for GMP facility. Completion of the required training
  • Adhere to GMP requirements for documentation of activities

Education:  High School Diploma with equivalent industry experience

Certifications:  Hazardous materials or pharma processing would be beneficial

Experience: 3-5 years of experience

Responsibilities
  • Performs day to day activities of Material Technicians 1 including but not limited to: dispense weigh and subdivide OEB 1 and 2 raw materials and excipients for drug product manufacturing for pilot plant manufacturing operations, sampling, and analysis of incoming goods in support of quality certification of these materials, maintenance of retain samples and inventory management,  
  • Ability to use SAP along with working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and federal regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes
  • Detailed knowledge of good manufacturing systems and familiarity with regulatory and manufacturing SOPs and cGMPs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong computer skills

Facility Cleaning / Sanitization
  • General housekeeping and stocking of PPEs, disinfectants, cleaning wipes and other consumables for the facility and process rooms
  • Removal of waste including products and PPEs
  • Cleaning of the processing rooms following manufacturing processes and as required per procedure
  • Sanitizing processing rooms and general-purpose rooms as required by procedure
  • Ability to perform Cleanings between Weighing Jobs as needed along with weekly and monthly full room sanitizations
  • Work cross functionally with engineers & maintenance personnel in facility upkeep

Physical Requirements
  • Physically capable to don and wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves. PPE are essential for the health and safety of employees
  • Perform operations within ISO Class clean rooms
  • Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, and or reach for 40% of a shift
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or move about for 40% of a shift
