Job Title: Material Planning & Logistics Operator
Location: Statesboro, GA
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Position Summary:
The Material Planning & Logistics Operator is tasked with managing operations related to material planning to ensure the production of high-quality products. The role demands flexibility with shift rotations and work center movements, compliance with plant policies, and support for 5S initiatives and corporate goals.
Essential Functions:
Receiving - Primary Functions:
Unload and load trucks on the receiving side.
Check materials from deliveries and separate them for respective inventories.
Organize materials in racks based on designated locations.
Manage receiving area for optimal use of space and material separation.
Operate equipment for trash removal.
Receiving - Secondary Functions:
Assist with unloading/loading trucks on the shipping side as needed.
Help with repacking in the shipping area as required.
Shipping - Primary Functions:
Load and unload trucks for shipments.
Pull materials from racks for shipping repack area.
Create ASN¿s for shipments.
Manage shipping area for optimal use of space.
Shipping - Secondary Functions:
Assist with receiving side tasks when needed.
Support repacking on production floor.
Repack/Production Floor - Primary Functions:
Repack empty carts per production schedule.
Monitor production lines and fill shelves, bins, and shop floor accordingly.
Break down empty boxes for pallet pick-up.
Work at the evaporator station.
Repack/Production Floor - Secondary Functions:
Assist with loading carts from production floor and repack areas.
Education and Experience:
High school Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
Positive attitude and work ethic.
Work Environment:
Plant environment with temperature fluctuations.
Exposure to noise and bright lights.
PPE required: steel toe shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for 8-12 hours per day.
Frequent bending and reaching.
Push/Pull up to 150 lbs.
Ability to focus and multitask over extended periods.
Travel:
Not applicable.
Special Requirements:
Overtime as needed.
