Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Operator
Location: Statesboro, GA
Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (schedule may change based on business needs)
Start Date: 01/05/2026
Position Summary:
The MP&L Operator is responsible for operations related to the material planning and logistics of high-quality products in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry. This role requires flexibility for shift rotation and movement between work centers. Compliance with all plant policies, support for 5S initiatives, and alignment with department/corporate goals are essential. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs arise.
Essential Functions:
Receiving (Primary):

  • Unload and load trucks on the receiving side.
  • Inspect delivered materials and separate for various internal categories.
  • Store materials in designated rack locations.
  • Maintain a well-organized receiving area.
  • Operate equipment for trash removal (auger, bailer, compactor, dumpster).
Receiving (Secondary):
  • Support unloading/loading trucks on the shipping side when necessary.
  • Assist with repacking in the shipping area as needed.
Shipping (Primary):
  • Load and unload trucks for outbound shipments and empty carts.
  • Retrieve materials from racks for shipping and repack areas.
  • Create shipping notices (ASNs) for specified destinations.
  • Repack and load carts from production and repack areas; scan parts and prepare labels for shipments (e.g., condensers, heaters, cooling modules, blowers, accumulators, compressors).
  • Keep shipping area organized.
Shipping (Secondary):
  • Assist with unloading/loading trucks on the receiving side as needed.
  • Help in the repacking area on the production floor for various products.
Repack/Production Floor (Primary):
  • Repack empty carts for the production floor according to the production plan.
  • Monitor production lines (every 30 mins) and stock shelves, bins, and shop floor for steady production flow.
  • Break down cooling module boxes and place on pallets for pickup.
  • Work in designated stations such as the evaporator.
  • Maintain repack area organization.
Repack/Production Floor (Secondary):
  • Assist with repacking and loading carts from the production floor and repack area; scan parts and prepare labels for shipments.
  • Operate equipment for trash removal as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Previous warehouse experience in manufacturing; automotive industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • Positive attitude and solid work ethic.
Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing plant setting with fluctuating temperatures (hot in summer, cool in winter).
  • Exposure to noise and bright lighting.
  • Required use of company-issued PPE (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for 8–12 hours daily.
  • Frequent bending and reaching.
  • Push/pull up to 150 lbs for up to one hour per day (carts).
  • Focus for extended periods; ability to multitask and analyze information.

  • Overtime may be required.
