Job Title: Material Handler – Refurbisher

Schedule: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 30-Minute Lunch

Location: Waco, Texas

Pay: 17/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler – Refurbisher to join our team at a metal crates company. This position is responsible for refurbishing metal crates by power washing, scraping tags, and reassembling crates with hand tools. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Refurbish metal crates using a power washer and hand scraping tools.

  • Remove and replace old tags, labels, and other identifying materials.

  • Assemble and reassemble crates using basic hand tools.

  • Inspect crates for quality and ensure they meet company standards before reuse.

  • Handle and move materials safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements
  • Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling preferred.

  • Ability to use power washers, scrapers, and hand tools safely.

  • Must wear steel-toed boots (all other PPE provided).

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to [insert weight limit].

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
