We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. This is a contract-to-hire role with competitive hourly pay rates ranging from $35 to $45 per hour, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.

About the Role: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, machine shop personnel, and assembly floor personnel to drive project realization, enhance manufacturability, streamline inspection processes, and optimize assembly procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and establish cost-effective processes and procedures that align with product specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to various departments including Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, QA/RA, and Purchasing.
  • Evaluate designs to develop efficient manufacturing, inspection, and assembly processes.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Hands-on demonstration and performance of manufacturing processes.
  • Gather and analyze data to inform decision-making processes.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers for new developments or issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Attend and/or lead collaborative meetings as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in regulated industries, preferably medical devices.
  • Proficiency in 3D Solid Modeling CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems/devices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment operation and programming.
  • Understanding of Lean Methodology and statistical analysis methods.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
