Manufacturing Cleaning Technician – Metals


? Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
? Pay Rate: $19.38/hour + 10% shift differential (based on experience)
? Required Footwear: Steel Toe Shoes

Important Shift & Training Details
  • Training will occur on 1st Shift for approximately 4 weeks

    • Training Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

    • Training paid at 1st shift rate

  • After training completion, employee will transfer to 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Cleaning Technician with manufacturing (not warehouse) experience to support our Metals Cleaning Department. This role focuses on cleaning stainless steel tubing using controlled chemical processes, performing in-process inspections, and maintaining accurate production records. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of manufacturing environments, safety practices, and basic measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process stainless steel tubing of various lengths through designated cleaning baths and solutions

  • Clean and dry parts using water hoses and air lines

  • Transport materials and carts of tubing between departments

  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality specifications

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including routers and in-process records

  • Follow all work instructions, written procedures, and job routers

  • Run multiple jobs simultaneously when workload allows

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and bath changes as required

Safety & Compliance
  • Work with cleaning chemistries and hazardous materials (PPE and engineering controls provided)

  • Understand and follow OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, storage, and disposal

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs

  • General cleaning room/manufacturing environment

  • Occasional reaching, balancing, stooping, talking, and hearing

Qualifications

Required

  • Prior manufacturing experience (warehouse-only experience is not sufficient)

  • Ability to follow written instructions and technical procedures

  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools and inspection processes

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred

  • Experience working with chemical cleaning processes

  • Familiarity with stainless steel or metals manufacturing environments
