Job Summary:
Kelly is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment critical to production. This role will focus on ensuring uptime and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, including conveyors, robots, and production tools. The ideal candidate has a solid background in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance (PM), with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail. This role generally works 8-hour shifts Monday – Friday, with business needs on Saturday and Sunday off. Overtime may be required as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on a variety of production equipment including conveyors, robots, leak testers, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Replace and reprogram industrial robots as needed (basic programming experience preferred).
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete PM tasks within the asset care system.
- Accurately document work performed, including repairs, parts used, and labor hours in CMMS/asset care systems.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external vendors as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in conveyor troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to use standard tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring devices.
- Familiarity with asset care or CMMS systems (Asset Essentials experience preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of work in an industrial warehouse environment include production lines, uneven walk areas, and motorized industrial equipment.
- May be required to utilize ladders or work from heights on occasion. May need to utilize provided personal protective equipment including glasses, hearing protection, or respirator protection if required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, climb, stoop, bend, and conduct work at waist level.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. at times and 20 lbs. regularly.
- Normal auditory, visual acuity, depth perception and peripheral vision, ambulation, and dexterity.
