Description

Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading company in the automotive manufacturing sector, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the Fenton, MI area. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire

What You'll Do:

  • Master the Machines: Perform corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of sophisticated equipment, including electronics, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, software, hardware, and robotics.
  • Keep Operations Smooth: Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment, including cleaning, retooling, oil-changing, calibrating, and aligning to ensure peak performance.
  • Drive Innovation: Assist in engineering studies targeting process design improvements for product throughput, first-run yields, ergonomics, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Mastery: Perform corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various assembly, machining, and test equipment.
  • Preventive Care: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Assist in process design improvement and engineering studies to enhance overall efficiency and output.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of related mechanical or electrical experience, or an Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, as well as shop equipment (lathe, mills, grinder, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand both technical and non-technical materials.
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledgeable in PLC/SRC/RS LOGIX and Ladder Logic.
  • Familiarity with robotic and vision systems.
  • Experience with process improvement, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
  • Prior experience in a team-based management culture.
