Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Maintenance Technician I with Signode Industrial Group LLC, a global leader in industrial packaging solutions that help keep businesses moving and products protected. Why you should apply to be a Maintenance Technician I:

  • Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
  • Location: Florence, KY 41042
  • Schedule: Night Shift (COS) – Training for approx. 2 weeks on days (7:45 AM – 4:30 PM), then regularly on nights (7:45 PM – 8:00 AM)
  • Employment Type: Temp to Perm 
Please note: this is an onsite position. What's a typical day as a Maintenance Technician I? You will:
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report findings to management
  • Maintain and service production machines to ensure ongoing quality and productivity
  • Identify and recommend corrective actions for electrical issues, including drives and PLC-related concerns
  • Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking systems accurately
  • Support equipment changeovers and recovery after extended downtime
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, repair parts, and supplies
  • Respond promptly to safety concerns or hazards and address immediate risks
  • Maintain building systems including utilities, ventilation, plumbing, and general housekeeping
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs with group leaders and maintenance management
  • Operate forklifts as required (training provided)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience or exposure to PLCs and drives (preferred, not required)
  • MIG and/or arc welding experience (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to equipment repair and quality
  • Forklift experience or willingness to be trained
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures
  • Detail-oriented approach, good time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and team-player attitude
  • Willingness and ability to work night shift and COS schedule
  • Steel-toe boots required (other PPE provided onsite)
