Job searching is a lot better with someone in your corner. Hi—enter us, and this job! Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Machine Operator to work at a leading manufacturer, in Norwood, MA. 1st Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm, $20 per hour
2nd Shift: 3 pm to 11:30 pm, $22 per hour

What's a typical day as a Machine Operator? You'll be:
• Preparing metal surfaces for coating using abrasive equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Setting up and removing components from coating fixtures, performing buffing, and conducting inspections after coating and curing.
• Operating and maintaining semi-automatic and manual blasting machinery.
• Setting up jobs for Teflon spraying, including racking, inspecting, cleaning, measuring, and masking parts.
• Running curing/industrial ovens and inspecting materials before and after blasting for quality results.
• Collaborating with team leads, supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to meet production guidelines and customer specifications.
• Completing and scanning paperwork for accurate inventory and production records.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all PPE and safety protocols.
• Participating in process improvements, daily cycle counts, and communicating issues to management.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a job shop environment.
• Possess mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment, including sandblasting machinery (automatic/manual experience preferred).
• Can read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Have experience with calipers and optical measuring tools (a plus).
• Demonstrate high attention to detail, quality focus, integrity, teamwork, and responsiveness.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Are physically able to stand and lift as required, and willing to work in a production environment with exposure to dust, noise, and machinery while using PPE.
