Job Posting Title: Manufacturing Equipment Operator
Job Description Summary: Under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Equipment Operator will set up, monitor, and operate various pieces of equipment associated with manufacturing facility requirements, including rewind, tapeline, packager, tape/braider, marline, plastic extruder, and PCP injection machines. This role may involve the operation of multiple machines simultaneously and could include tasks such as repairing, patching, or splicing cable. Quality assurance activities will be performed as required by manufacturing and engineering specifications, as well as ISO requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, monitor, and operate manufacturing equipment.
- Read and interpret routine instructions accurately.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations efficiently.
- Utilize general hand tools and precision measuring equipment with good mechanical aptitude.
- Operate material-moving equipment or overhead cranes, and obtain certification if necessary.
- Maintain good attendance and work habits.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months previous manufacturing experience.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate a coiler and change reels as needed.
- The site manufactures reinforced polypipe used for running oil underground.
- The position will primarily involve running a coiler and changing reels.
