Laboratory Director – Cosmetics

This client is an industry-leading company delivering innovative scientific solutions across the cosmetics and personal care testing sectors. In this key role, you will provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization's supplements testing business. You'll oversee all aspects of the lab's science and service line operations, implement strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and manage long-range business growth planning. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business initiatives to ensure accurate test results, client satisfaction, and business growth.
- Manage the laboratory budget and ensure cost-effective operations aligned with client needs.
- Lead client-focused projects and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.
- Promote and implement QA compliance and continuous product quality improvement strategies.
- Ensure ISO Accreditation parameters and oversee audit readiness.
- Oversee all laboratory personnel functions, including hiring, performance management, and team development.
- Maintain smooth lab operations through equipment oversight, supply management, and troubleshooting.
- Engage in business development efforts by representing the organization at professional events and industry associations.
- BS degree in Sciences, Chemistry, or Biotechnology (master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in cosmetic quality systems and cGMP practices.
- 7-10+ years managing teams of 70–100 including upper management and chemists.
- Experience with International and Domestic Regulations, ISO standards, and FDA compliance.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Experience with financial and cost Management.
- Experience in a TIC environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with QMS internal/external audits and Labware LIMS is a plus.
