Label Inspector — 2nd Shift

Location: North Syracuse, NY
Shift / Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay Range: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour

About the Role:

In this role, you'll assist experienced press operators with setup, changeovers, cleanup, and material staging — helping ensure smooth production and consistent quality. This is an opportunity to learn the trade and build toward a full Press Operator role.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with pressroom setup, cleanup, and maintenance of materials and supplies.

  • Support paper staging and preparation for upcoming jobs.

  • Receive and respond to training and feedback from supervisors and press operators.

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized pressroom environment.

  • Perform light material handling, including loading/unloading paper and prepping supplies.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to support production schedules and job changeovers.

Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude, including basic knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance.

  • Basic math skills (measurements, logic, ability to follow job specifications).

  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to receive instruction, follow direction, and work well on a team.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity (able to lift 50–60 lbs

  • Ability to perform physical tasks: stand for long periods, bend, reach, twist, lift, and carry as needed.

  • Good hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and ability to distinguish colors.
     

Requirements:

  • Pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
