Technical Marketing Engineering Technician (TME Tech I)
Hillsboro, Oregon
Onsite M-F 8am – 5pm
Pay starts: $23/hr W2 DOE
Benefits + Paid Time Off

Assist engineers in system integration and analysis; Maintain current network infrastructure, perform upgrades, deploy new software, perform network configuration, monitoring network performance, and network health monitoring; Perform evaluation and analysis of desktop, notebook, mobile/embedded devices, workstation, server rack and server product platforms; Produce build and test procedures; Provide training and technical support to test technicians; Generate test scripts; Assist in testing when required; Provide customer support for products as needed; Evaluate and test gaming devices and software as needed. Gaming and Linux experience a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Must have good technical aptitude and good understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hands on experience in building systems from scratch, highly preferred.
  • System Integration knowledge:
  • Familiarity with OEM Platform is a plus (HP, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, Oracle, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages (Python, Powershell, etc.).
  • Client IA32/IA64 architecture and system configuration knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Linux OS installation, setup, and configuration.
  • Familiarity with UEFI/BIOS and WinPE firmware configuration tools.
  • Experience with disk imaging tools such as Symantec Ghost, Clonezilla, etc. is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of network fundamentals.
  • Ability to setup Wi-Fi access point and routers.
  • Understanding and ability to connect system into network configuration or a domain.
  • Understanding of IP address assignment.
  • Solid understanding of switching and routing fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of storage configurations.
  • Solid understanding of SAN and NAS technology.
  • Data backup: Knowledge of data backup principles and its security.
  • eSports gaming installation, setup, and configuration knowledge.
  • Infrastructure:
  • Ability to recycle out old hardware and replace with new hardware into the existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to upgrade existing OS or software with new patches.
  • Ability to learn new software tools and assist engineers in analysis or gathering data.
  • BS/AA degree in CE, EE, CET, EET or proven years of experience.
  • CCNA, Network+ or other Certification is desirable.
  • Experience with virtualization and high availability technologies.
  • Must have good knowledge of PC IA architecture, PC system hardware peripherals, OS software installation/configuration/driver update, network fundamental and configuration, and at least 2 years of work experience in combination of testing desktop, server, notebook computer systems, and configuring network equipment such as router/switch.
