Now hiring an Internal Communications Specialist position for our premier nonprofit client based in Little, Rock, AR!
Pay: $28/hr
Hours: 6 hours/day, M-F (30 hrs/week)
Location: Remote
Position Type: Temporary (~3 months)
Responsibilities
Intranet (Corral)
- Daily: Monitor Corral posts and comments; respond to forum questions and comments as needed
- Daily: Edit copy and layout, and schedule content submitted to Corral
- Project: Update the Corral Help Center Knowledge Base how-to guides
- As Needed: Update intranet content and pages
- Daily: Support cross-departmental communications
- Weekly: Write and post The Week Ahead to inform staff of upcoming events, holidays, and new resources
- Weekly/As needed: Serve as backup for writing, designing, and sending the Top Things employee newsletter
- As Needed: Assist with video creation and support for internal team requests
- As Needed: Edit and format internal communications (e.g., newsletters, emails, and presentations)
- Monthly: Manage Monthly Colleague Match Up, including enrollment, pairings, and language preferences.
- Project: Conduct the annual Monthly Colleague Matchup survey to determine initiative effectiveness.
- Support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events as needed.
- Set up and manage virtual meeting using Zoom
- Provide technical support during internal events.
- Collaborate with Heifer staff in communication roles to maximize the impact of Heifer's messaging.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in internal communications competencies and best practices
- Experience with content creation and delivery, including email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with internal communications software, including intranets and email design and tracking software (Igloo Software, Staffbase, and Workshop)
- Basic graphic design and video production skills in Photoshop, InDesign, PlayPlay, Premier, and other publishing and video creation software
