Health, Safety & Environment Specialist

Kelly Science has a new opportunity to join one of our growing clients as an HSE Specialist in Augusta GA. This is a direct hire opportunity and can provide relocation assistance.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: $80,000-$100,000/year
Location : Augusta GA

Responsibilities

• Assist with compliance of all Group and Site HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
• Deploy the Group HSE policies, programs, and tools.
• Review and propose site-specific adaptations and improvements to Group HSE programs and tools
• Administer Industrial Hygiene program.
• Assist in compliance of all HSE regulations and legislation.
• Ensure all site activities respect applicable HSE regulations and manage environmental permits and renewals.
• Organize and conduct HSE audits and inspections, and identify improvement areas and recommended preventative or corrective measures.
• Collect rainwater, wastewater, solid waste, and stack gas samples, arrange analysis, and interpret and report results
• Manage waste streams and recycling and disposal of material.
• Provide HSE expertise, information, advice, and train or support training of employees and subcontractors in HSE matters.
• Provide information regarding changes in HSE legislation.
• Ensure the exchange of best practices and relevant experiences.
• Ensure continuous improvement of Site HSE performance.
   

Requirements:

• College degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, IH, safety or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
• Experience with Industrial construction, production and maintenance a plus
