Join the team as a Hort Finishing Processor at their Lansing, MI facility, supporting high-volume finishing and packaging operations that serve major retail and commercial customers.

? Location: 5800 W Grand River, Lansing, MI 48906
? Pay Rate: $16/hour
? Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
? Employment Type: Temporary / Contract (or based on client need)
? Work Environment: Fast-paced printing and packaging production

? What's a typical day as a Hort Finishing Processor? You will:

  • Operate small finishing machines, including wrappers, labelers, pixie strippers, and card wrappers.

  • Perform hand stripping, sorting, table work, and packing tasks.

  • Follow written SOPs and job tickets with high accuracy.

  • Use printing computers to generate carton labels.

  • Conduct periodic quality checks, including color verification.

  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on small finishing equipment.

  • Count, inspect, and verify product accuracy and detect defects.

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas throughout your shift.

  • Train new team members on department processes and procedures.

  • Work overtime as required to support production needs.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • A high school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to interact with and operate automated machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, SOPs, safety rules, and job tickets.

  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

  • Ability to pass color vision and color hue tests.

  • Strong attendance record and willingness to work overtime.

  • Basic computer skills for label printing and machine interaction.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, color identification, and depth perception.
