Global Trade Services Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (CST / EST / PST)
Duration: 3-month temporary assignment
Pay Rate: $55/hour
Start Date: Immediate
This role plays a key part in ensuring the compliant and efficient movement of goods and technology across U.S. borders. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing expert-level guidance on U.S. import regulations, customs compliance, and export hold processes.
This position requires strong autonomy, deep regulatory knowledge (19 CFR and 15 CFR), and the ability to quickly integrate into a high-performing trade compliance team with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities Import Compliance Operations-
Manage and support U.S. import compliance activities, including:

Section 232 applicability and reporting
-
Census warnings resolution
-
Assist with documentation review and validation
-

Coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams to resolve import-related inquiries
-
Ensure accurate and timely filing and regulatory compliance
-
Review and release export hold orders (including Delivery Orders and related transactions) within SAP
-
Assess regulatory requirements prior to shipment release
-
Escalate compliance risks when appropriate
-
Partner with Customer Service, Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Program Management, and GTS Operations Service Centers

Provide regulatory guidance and practical trade compliance solutions

Support business continuity through proactive issue resolution

Strong working knowledge of:

U.S. Customs Regulations (19 CFR)

Export Administration Regulations (EAR – 15 CFR)

Minimum 4 years of U.S. trade compliance experience in a regulated environment

Proficiency in SAP

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong organizational and time-management skills
-
Effective multitasking in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

U.S. Person as defined under 22 CFR 120.62

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field

Experience in the technology or manufacturing industry
-
Familiarity with U.S.–Mexico trade and USMCA compliance
-
Experience leading compliance initiatives or process improvement efforts

Prior audit support experience (internal audits, investigations, government inquiries)

Experience working within global trade systems and compliance tools
-
6+ years of U.S. trade compliance experience
-
Advanced Excel capabilities (data analysis, pivot tables, reporting)

Knowledge of foreign export control regimes or international trade agreements
