Join Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Forklift Operator worker at a top client in Livonia, Michigan. Our client designs and manufactures packaging solutions for OEM assembly factories and a complex and vast network of tier 1/2/3 suppliers that manufacture parts and materials for the automotive supply chain. Corrugated packaging is a primary solution for expendable packaging in the automotive industry because our products are sustainable, recyclable, durable, versatile, lightweight, customizable, protective, and cost-effective.

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $16.75/hr
1st Shift ¿ Mon ¿ Sat 6am ¿ 4:45pm
2nd shift Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
3rd Shift ¿ Sun ¿ Fri 8pm ¿ 5:45am

What a typical day as a Forklift Operator might look like:

Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner.  Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Locate stock before the start of the run.
Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time.
Remove finished goods from machines.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.
Must be open to assisting with production during downtime. 


This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.  Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.  Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.  Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Driver License
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
    Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
    Prior work experience as a forklift operator.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
