Kelly Science has an Immediate opening for a Food Safety Specialist (Contract)
Location: Memphis, TN
Contract Duration: 3-5 Months
Pay: $30-$40/hr DOE

What You'll DoIn this role, you'll lead efforts to evaluate, refine, and enhance our food safety systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Enhance Food Safety Protocols: Assess and optimize HACCP plans, GMPs, and sanitation practices to meet regulatory and industry standards.
- SQF Certification Expertise: Guide the team in achieving or maintaining SQF certification by conducting gap analyses, preparing documentation, and leading corrective actions.
- Educate and Empower: Deliver impactful training to Quality Technicians and staff on SQF principles, HACCP fundamentals, and food safety best practices.
- Audit and Compliance Leadership: Perform internal audits and support third-party audits to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Document and Report: Maintain accurate, up-to-date food safety documentation and draft reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance food safety processes and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Experience: 3-5 years of food safety experience, with a strong focus on SQF Certification and HACCP programs.
- Certifications: HACCP, SQF, ServSafe, or PCQI certification is required.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and 21 CFR 210-211 regulations is essential.
- Skills:

- Availability: Must be on-site in Memphis, TN for the duration of the contract.
