6 month contract with possible extension
$60/HR+ (depending on experience)
Kelly Engineering is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented designer to join the fire protection team in Austin, TX. The design team strives to create the factory of the future by overseeing the design of cutting-edge large-scale equipment and utility systems in support of highly innovating manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Fire Protection Team to prepare designs, hydraulic calculations, stocklisting and installation drawings.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Produce 3D construction drawings and 3D models for different types of fire suppression and life safety systems using Revit, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and Navisworks
- Lead in-field design validation and preparation of as-built drawings.
- Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation.
- Develop Revit families, standard details, and manage BIM files.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
- NICET certification for water-based fire protection systems layout
- Proficiency in 3D software, such as Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam
- Experience with HydraCad, HydraCalc.
