What a typical day as an Facilities Technician I might look like: 

l Perform routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs and promptly address them.
l Conduct repairs and troubleshooting on various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
l Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
l Maintain and repair equipment, machinery, and appliances within the facility.
l Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of building systems.
l Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance work.
l Conduct regular inspections of safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting) and ensure compliance with regulations.
l Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
l Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and initiate purchase requests as needed.
l Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
l Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
l Provide support during emergencies, such as power outages, floods, or severe weather conditions.
 
 This job might be an outstanding fit if you: 

l Experience with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) in a manufacturing environment
l Ability to perform routine facility maintenance and inspections (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, general upkeep)
l Experience with equipment and industrial maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and safety systems)
l Understanding of safety standards and compliance (OSHA, LOTO, EPA, HAZMAT)
l Proficiency using maintenance tools and equipment, technical manuals, schematics, CAD drawings, and basic business software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
l Familiarity with work orders, maintenance tracking systems, and downtime reporting.
