What's a typical day as a Facilities Maintenance Technician? You'll be:
• Performing basic handyman tasks, including repairs to fixtures, fittings, and furniture, while reporting to the Facilities Manager.
• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) inspections as per schedule, including lighting checks and HVAC filter replacements.
• Managing and supervising contractors on site, ensuring safe systems of work are followed and compliance is maintained.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have proven experience in a general maintenance or handyman role within a facilities or building services environment (must have).
• Possess a working knowledge of contractor management and permit-to-work systems (must have).
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach (must have).
• Hold basic technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Maintenance Operations or equivalent) and have experience supporting office or industrial facility projects (preferred).
• Have knowledge of FM Helpdesk and CAFM systems (preferred).
