Job Title: Facilities Lead
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Baytown
Travel Required: Frequently

Working Hours:

  • Beaumont lead position: Primarily 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, with flexibility to backfill for the supervisor as needed.
  • Both positions are typically Monday–Friday. Occasional weekend shifts may be required for afterhours needs.
Job Summary

The Facilities Lead supports daily operations of building housekeeping, maintenance, and general upkeep at ISCT Beaumont and Baytown offices. Responsible for scheduling work orders, backfill coverage, assisting with facilities staff supervision, and ensuring effective communication across teams. Works closely with the Facilities Supervisor to uphold a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for facilities staff.
  • Coordinate coverage for absences, vacations, and emergencies.
  • Track and prioritize work orders and service requests.
  • Liaise with the Facilities Outside Services Coordinator for service provider needs.
  • Ability to backfill as a Facilities Specialist when required.
Team Support & Oversight
  • Assist in overseeing performance and productivity of the facilities team.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and inspections for quality assurance.
  • Provide guidance on procedures, safety, and tasks.
  • Develop and streamline processes and guidelines.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain records for maintenance, inspections, and inventory.
  • Prepare reports on facility operations, staffing, and metrics.
  • Monitor supply levels and initiate procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Serve as point of contact between facilities staff and other departments.
  • Communicate scheduling changes, priorities, and updates.
  • Support cross-functional facilities operations projects.
  • Collaborate actively with all facilities team members.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, Class C, with a good driving record.
  • 5+ years experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or related field.
  • Skilled in building maintenance (carpentry, electrical, mechanical, tool usage).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Aptitude for understanding and executing detailed written/oral instructions.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, speak, and hear.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and drive.
  • Must exert up to 20–50 lbs occasionally, 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
  • Specific vision abilities required (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus).
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, and wet/humid conditions.
  • Occasional risk of electrical shock.
  • Variable noise levels depending on work location.
  • Crowded indoor spaces (hallways, restrooms, break areas).
  • Dynamic interaction with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and exercise care in handling sensitive information.
