Job Title: Plano Facilities Coordinator
Location: Plano, Texas

Job Overview:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery. This role involves working closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors to plan preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, track work orders, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:
Your typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Schedule and coordinate preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance tasks for equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Manage and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring proper documentation and communication with relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and update maintenance schedules, adjusting based on priority, equipment availability, and team capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities, conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Track and report on maintenance costs, including labor, parts, and contractor fees, and assist in budget management.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate contractor work, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and ensuring safety and quality control.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate's degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, or a related role.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, or other relevant equipment used in labs and offices.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, contractors, and other departments.
  • Familiarity with OSHA or other regulatory standards related to maintenance and safety.
