Fabrication Machine Operator - Direct Hire 
Livonia, MI

Are you ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career? Join our team as a Fabrication Machine Operator!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Shift Leader to learn all fabricating processes for producing service parts.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with manufacturing plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and expenses for each service order.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure conformity with work instructions and notify the Shift Leader of any discrepancies.
  • Process orders and set up jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Uphold the Cooper Standard Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with 6S, housekeeping, and health and safety standards.
  • Assist in maintaining TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certifications through quality and environmental awareness.
  • Be flexible to perform additional duties as needed.
Shift and Pay: 
  • Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm $19/hr

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year college degree or relevant technical certification is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in fabrication processes such as torquing, bending, end forming, oven forming, or tube forming.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and knowledge of fabrication equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing atmosphere with long periods of standing.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required on the manufacturing floor.
  • Possible travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations for training and support.
