Extrusion Operator (Temporary – Time Fill Position)
Location: Brantford, ON


Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team in Brantford. This is a temporary position to fill a time vacancy, with the potential for ongoing work depending on business needs.
Schedule & Compensation
Monthly Rotating Shifts:

• 1 Month Days
• 1 Month Afternoons
• 1 Month Nights

Pay Rate: $23.44/hour
Shift Premiums:

• Afternoon Shift: +$1.50/hour
• Night Shift: +$2.00/hour

Breaks

• One 20-minute lunch break
• Two 10-minute breaks
• All breaks are paid
• Please bring your lunch – leaving the facility during breaks is not permitted

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machines per production specifications
• Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, material flow)
• Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other tools
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Accurately document production data and machine settings
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of extrusion experience in a manufacturing setting
• High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical documents and production schedules
• Basic math and computer skills
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a hot, noisy industrial environment with required PPE
