Kelly Science has an immediate opening for an Environmental Technician for our growing client in Fort Wayne, IN
Full-time
Direct Hire
Pay: $24-$28/hr
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our growing team in Fort Wayne, IN. As a key member of our regional environmental field services department, the Environmental Technician will play a crucial role in environmental testing and reporting at project sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and assist in all aspects of environmental department work, including stack emissions monitoring, ambient air quality monitoring, soil and groundwater monitoring, and noise monitoring.
  • Embrace new skills in the aforementioned areas and apply them in practical contexts.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of environmental projects.
  • Contribute to report preparation.
  • Provide support in the maintenance and calibration of environmental department equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining Health and Safety and Quality standards within a UKAS accredited 17025 quality management system.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience working with GC and GC-MS, and other chromatographic methods.
  • Troubleshooting experience with instruments.
  • Preferred experience with organics and knowledge of EPA methods and standards in the Environmental field.
  • Physical fitness and ability to withstand challenging working conditions, including climbing stacks and handling heavy industrial equipment.
  • Strong quality focus with an indefatigable determination to get the job done under challenging conditions.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to embrace new skills and apply them in a practical context.
