3 days in office 2 day Remote (Hybrid) : 8AM-5PM
$24.00-$25.00/DOE
6 Month Contract Role+
About: The individual will be supporting the US Procurement team and will be based in the San Mateo office.
Job Title: Entry-Level Buyer / Junior Buyer
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (internships or co-op experience preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic understanding of purchasing processes and procurement principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the purchasing of goods and services in accordance with company policies.
- Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Create and process purchase orders under the guidance of senior buyers or managers.
- Track order status, follow up with vendors, and update internal stakeholders as needed.
- Support vendor onboarding and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Help resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and compliance with procurement procedures.
