Job Title: Electronic Assembler, Material Handler, Shipping, and Forklift Positions!

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Short Term/Temporary

- Location: 2540 Galvin Dr, Elgin, IL 60124 - Directions: Directions from I-90 W – 
1) Take the Randall Road exit
2) Turn Right on Randall Road
3) Turn Left on Northwest Pkwy
4) Turn Right on Galvin Dr. and in 0.2 mile Motorola Solutions will be on the Left

- Pay Rate: $16 - $20/hour depending on department and shift
- Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:15 pm
- Split Shift: 11:00 am - 7:15 pm
- 2nd Shift: 2:45 pm - 11:00 pm

Assembly Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate automation for loading components in mobile radio assembly.
- Pick mobile accessories and handle cartons for shipping.
- Follow computer station work instructions and scan parts accurately.
- Participate in assembly of telecommunications equipment and mobile bricks.
- Cross-train in various roles, including cabling and testing equipment.
- Unpack components and assist with the assembly process.
- Pack finished products for shipping and report to the shift supervisor.
- Utilize RF handheld scanners for material handling tasks.
- Coordinate shipping processes and verify data using computer systems.
- Operate forklifts and assist with material handling as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Previous assembly or electronics experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience operating a Stand-Up Reach truck forklift is a must for forklift operators.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs with team assistance.

Material Handlers:

  • Picking materials from the warehouse using an RF handheld scanner (Prior RF experience is a plus, but is not required) 
  • Place materials in the trays on the carts. These materials are brought out to the factory for assembly. 
Shipping:
Shipping final products out to customers by coordinating with internal departments and client.  
  • Moving, sorting, and loading of packaged products, boxes weighing up to 50lbs (team lift)  
  • Entering shipping documents and verifying data using computer systems  
  • Preparing materials for keying, coding or printing.  
  • Packaging of finished products that are ready to be shipped.  
  • Preparing skids of boxes for the shipping department. Including labeling and shrink wrapping the skids. Moving product between pallets. Heavy lifting of boxes up to 50lbs, team lift required.   
Skills Needed:  
  • Experience Required: should be able to enter data into Motorola WM system, should be comfortable with working in a windows environment.?  
  • Basic computer and key entry skills are required. Previous windows experience preferred.  
  • Work Environment: Warehouse setting working at a standing portable desk.  
Forklift (Experience NEEDED):
  • Operating a Crown Stand-up Reach truck in the warehouse to move products and shipments between departments. 
  • Will also be tasked with material handling work from time to time when work is slow. 
Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Previous experience with a Stand-Up Reach truck forklift is required. (Crown preferred but not required) 6 months is sufficient experience.  
  • Must have experience with all of the following equipment: reach-truck, cherry picker, standard sit-down, and pallet rider 
  • An actual test on a Stand up reach truck will be conducted onsite to check your level of experience 
Physical Requirements for all departments
  • Standing and moving around the work area for the entire shift.
  • Physical Requirements: Standing and moving around work area for entire shift. Lifting required up to 35 lbs. unassisted and up to 50+ lbs. in a team lift.
