Electrical Engineering Internship

Job Description:
Kelly Engineering is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a dedicated and talented individual pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET). As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge prototype automotive systems for steering and brakes. Responsibilities:
Hardware Development: Collaborate with our engineering team on the development and assembly of electrical and electronic hardware components for prototype automotive systems, with a focus on steering and brakes.
Hands-On Work: Utilize hand tools and electronic equipment to assemble, test, and troubleshoot hardware components. Ensure that all components meet quality standards.
Computer Programs: Work with computer programs and software tools to design, simulate, and analyze electrical systems and circuits.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of hardware development activities, including schematics, test results, and assembly procedures. Assist in generating technical reports and documentation.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other team members to achieve project objectives. Seek guidance and mentorship to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Prototyping: Participate in the development of prototype systems, conducting testing and validation to ensure functionality and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET).
  • Strong interest in working with hardware and a passion for automotive systems.
  • Aptitude for excelling in a dynamic engineering environment and a desire to secure a full-time role upon graduation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and electronic equipment for hardware assembly and testing.
  • Familiarity with computer programs and software tools for circuit design and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Controls or Computer Science (CS) degree students with a hardware focus are also encouraged to apply.
