Maintenance Electrician - Direct Hire
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: $35 per hour

Kelly has partnered with a premiere customer who is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support their Dayton, OH facility who produces a diverse product line, including both aerospace and non-aerospace products. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for all electrical repair across the plant on diverse equipment. This role aims to minimize machine downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
- Equipment Maintenance: Ability to maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing and facility equipment, with a focus on electrical systems and some mechanical issues.
- CNC Troubleshooting: Experience with CNC-controlled machines, including lathes and milling machines, understanding Servo-Controlled Systems, feedback systems, and velocity control commands.
- Electrical Expertise: Proficient in frequency drives, motor starters, overloads, PLCs, electrical control devices, and servo-controlled components.
- Electrical & Mechanical Systems: Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, three-phase AC voltages (up to 480 volts), hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission devices (gearboxes, spindles).
- Technical Training: Experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting manuals, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, and equipment installation/maintenance procedures.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Participate in PM tasks, document findings, and contribute to 5S and proactive maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to disassemble, clean, lubricate, adjust, and replace parts on machinery, ensuring accuracy using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Safety Compliance: Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Arc Flash, GMPs, and SSOPs. Adherence to safety, environmental, and health standards.
- Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Machine Repair: Disassemble and reassemble machinery, ensuring proper operation, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement.
- Documentation: Record downtime, root causes of equipment issues, and corrective actions using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Preventative Maintenance: Assist with PM tasks, perform inspections, and proactively address potential breakdowns.
- Work Environment: Operate power tools, perform cutting, grinding, welding, and work in confined or high areas as needed.
- Inventory Management: Track parts and supplies, request orders, verify incoming parts, and ensure inventory levels are maintained.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including machine guarding, hazardous material handling, and PPE usage.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management. Participate in team-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Overtime: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to maintain plant productivity.
- Self-directed, with a strong focus on achieving world-class efficiency targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to document and report equipment status and maintenance activities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work flexible hours, and solve complex problems with a critical thinking approach.
