Kelly Services is partnering with a prestigious University in Cleveland, Ohio and we have an immediate for a Department Assistant.
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Pay: $19.32
We are seeking a Department Assistant to provide daily administrative assistance and support to our office. This role involves various administrative tasks such as answering telephones, managing mailings, processing checks, ordering supplies, and responding to alumni emails. Additionally, the selected candidate will coordinate meetings, assist with travel arrangements, maintain tracking reports, handle event support, and facilitate communication between the department and the university.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily administrative support, including answering telephones, managing mailings, processing and depositing checks, ordering supplies, and responding to alumni emails.
- Coordinate meetings for the Law Alumni Association Board, monitor RSVPs, take meeting minutes, and prepare meeting materials.
- Assist with travel arrangements, schedules, and daily operational needs.
- Create and maintain tracking reports for fundraising efforts, scholarships, and departmental initiatives.
- Assist with Annual Fund solicitations, particularly during peak outreach periods.
- Prepare correspondence, including acknowledgment letters, congratulations and condolence cards, and updates for Class Notes.
- Provide event support, including managing RSVPs and finances, entering event updates in the donor database, and assisting with event planning and preparation.
- Attend meetings and events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office setting.
- Education/Licensing: High school education required.
Required Skills:
1. Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to compose professional-level correspondence and meet deadlines with excellent proofreading skills.
3. High attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
