Customer Support Specialist
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour
About the Role
We're looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our team in Kalamazoo! In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers both before and after the sale. You'll guide the customer experience from inquiry through after-sales support, while also serving as a resource for the sales team and helping resolve escalated issues.
This position is a great fit for someone who thrives in a customer-facing role, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to take on added responsibility as a team lead.
What You'll Do
Pre-Sale Support
- Respond to customer inquiries with product information, pricing, and literature.
- Influence production and shipping schedules to align with customer needs.
- Recommend pricing adjustments when appropriate and identify new business opportunities.
- Manage inquiries related to RMAs, order status, delivery, and warranty claims.
- Resolve scheduling, shipping, and invoicing issues quickly.
- Coordinate repair resources as needed.
- Recognize and pursue add-on business opportunities.
- Act as a go-to resource for the customer service team, offering guidance and support.
- Work across departments to help achieve sales and service goals.
- Document equipment failures, prepare reports, and provide insights to management.
- Partner with sales, operations, and logistics to deliver excellent customer experiences.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience in customer service, order management, or sales support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and lead by example.
- Knowledge of customer service processes, systems, and procedures.
