Custodian/Janitorial General Laborer Position Available in Pooler, GA

Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

We are seeking a diligent Custodian/Janitorial General Laborer to help maintain cleanliness and order in our warehousing facility in Pooler, GA. This role is crucial in ensuring a clean and safe work environment through various cleaning tasks.

Main Duties:

  • Perform general cleaning of the warehouse facility
  • Clean restrooms, mop floors, replace paper towels, and dispose of trash
  • Keep the break room clean by sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans
  • Regularly check and maintain warehouse and outside trash cans
  • Clean offices by dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, and vacuuming as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of janitorial/custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Flexible in working various shifts and weekends; must be a team player
  • Ability to train on high-reach lift trucks for overhead cleaning
  • Capable of training on a floor scrubber and in handling cleaning chemicals safely
  • Able to learn safe use of a pressure washer
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and squatting
  • Comfortable working in a warm and dusty environment
  • Skilled in organizing and planning to optimize job efficiency
  • Ability to deliver work accurately and efficiently

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous warehousing experience is a plus
