What You Will Do:

  • Develop Test Stations:

    • Design and program hardware, software, and user interfaces using C/C++/C#, LabVIEW, QT, and Python.
  • Automate Systems:

    • Design and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic cells for factory automation.
  • Create Schematics:

    • Generate control system schematics and drawings.
  • Assemble and Wire Equipment:

    • Perform pneumatic assembly and electrical wiring.
  • Oversee Builds:

    • Supervise equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
  • Collaborate Across Sites:

    • Work with Manufacturing Engineers at multiple locations.
  • Investigate Technologies:

    • Research new technologies for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct DFMA Analysis:

    • Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly analysis.
  • Provide Technical Support:

    • Assist AME and R&D Engineering with technical advice and support.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment:

    • Diagnose and resolve issues with production equipment.
  • Travel as Needed:

    • Occasionally travel to support project deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years in a similar role required, 3+ years preferred.
  • Programming Skills:

    • Proficiency in C/C++/C#, Python, etc.
  • GUI Development:

    • Experience with LabVIEW or QT.
  • PLC and HMI:

    • Experience in programming and diagnostics.
  • Project Management:

    • Proven experience managing projects.
  • Communication:

    • Effective communication skills.
  • Design Skills:

    • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD; experience with Creo preferred.
  • Equipment and Automation:

    • Experience with robotic cells and automation.
  • Preferred Experience:

    • Capital equipment procurement and powered holding/test equipment design.
